[Milly is... positively elephantine in size, everything aches, she gets exhausted after the very slightest bit of exercise and it seems as though she has a bladder the size of a walnut that her baby finds incredibly comfy because she just cannot get comfortable without having to get up and use the bathroom two minutes later. And that is without all the false alarms and Braxton Hicks contractions she's been suffering for the last week. At the back of her mind, she's grateful that it's not been for very long at all, but even so she's uncomfortable and impatiently excited to meet her daughter or son and finally see her feet again.

And the house just cannot be clean enough for her tastes. Milly is cleaning like a woman on a mission. In between checking and double checking the nursery, trying to knit booties- and failing- and napping, she's going crazy with a feather duster and vacuum. Watch out, Trigun house.

She is on her hands and knees scrubbing the skirting boards... question is: will she ever be able to get up again?]

Alright! Spicy food hasn't worked, long walks haven't worked, and jumping up and down is really really uncomfortable so I don't want to try that unless I absolutely have to, but I'm beginning to go crazy waiting and there's only so much cleaning I can do before I need to take a nap.

I don't suppose any mothers out there know any sure fire ways to get a baby coming? Because I'm just about ready to have mine now and Muffin is showing no signs of moving at all. I'm at my wits' end!

Well I would if I could, but it's not very comfortable for me so I haven't really. But I don't want to jump up and down on the bed in case I break it and there aren't any bumpy roads to go for a ride on.

You have to be patient Milly! If you try to rush it, the baby is just gonna get stubborn and not want to come!

[He totally knows what he's talking about!]

[...oh dear, she really hopes Wolfwood's stubbornness isn't genetic. She loves him to bits but it would be very unfair if they were both stubborn and ganged up on her.]

I don't know why the baby would want to be stubborn and stay all cooped up and cramped in there when there's a lovely new bed and clothes and kisses waiting for him or her.

Well... it doesn't know that though does it? Being cooped up is all it knows! What if it comes out and everyone is mean and funny looking?

It's just trying to stay safe!

[...gosh darn it, these false contractions are really beginning to get annoying.]

Well, you know, babies can't actually see properly to start off with, and then when they get a little bit older everything stops being blurry. The baby should know who we are by then and know we're not scary.

Eh? Really...? But, Milly how did you know all of that?? Did you do research on babies!?

[Wow she might know more about this than he thought. =|a As in she obviously knew more than he did in the first place.]

Well, I've been reading lots of baby books since I found out I was pregnant, and Doctor Law's been very helpful too... oh and of course there's all the things I learnt from my brothers and sisters from when they started having babies back home. I have two nieces and three nephews

Oh, yeah Law! You know, he's a pretty good guy! Did I ever tell you he saved my life one time?

Ooooh, nieces and nephews!? Are they cute? I wish I could get a few of those I wonder what it would be like...

No you didn't tell me that! How exciting, what happened? Were you having surgery? He says he's a very good surgeon. You know, my Little Big Brother's a doctor too, and my sister Joy is a nurse. I know how hard it is to become really good in the medical field, Doctor Law must be a really hard worker.

[And now her voice takes on a slightly nostalgic tone, thinking about all her nieces and nephews.]

As for my nieces and nephews, they're real sweethearts. The littlest one is Sandra, she's three, and then there's Dougy and Anry and Rodney and they're thirteen, eleven and nine and then there's Mikey too, he's seven. They all live close to my parents so I used to get to see them all the time when I was at home. I bet they'd love having a new cousin to play with.

[Now is not the time to dwell on this, seeing as there's no guarantees that her baby will ever get to meet all the cousins anyway. She decides to move away from that before she gets mopey- there's no time to mope, she has cleaning to do!]

You know Luffy, if you wanted to practice being an uncle then I'm sure my baby wouldn't mind if you wanted to be their uncle. A baby can never have too many people to love it.

[Well what happened is an incredibly long story. Maybe he'll just give her an extremely short version without context.]

Well the short version of it is that bad home I happened to get some lava on my chest. [Yup.] You remember that burn scar I have right? That's where it came from. Anyway, Law saved my life back then. I owe him one. Ahh, it's too bad I might have to end up kicking his ass one day way later. Hopefully I can pay him back before then.

[Wooooow. Milly why do you have such a big family wtf is that even. But Luffy will give a huge smile at the uncle thing.]

EH!? REALLY?! You'd really let me do something like that!? I have two brothers but-- back home it's impossible for me to be an uncle now. It'd be sooo cool if I could actually find out how it'd feel...

[Voice]

[Milly can't say she remembers any burn scars, but she's not about to stop Luffy in full swing, because honestly if she asks him how he happened to get himself into such a mess that wound up with him getting lava on his back, she has a feeling she'd be here forever.

He sounds so happy about the offer to be an honorary uncle that she has absolutely no regrets about bringing it up. She laughs happily.]

Well now, never say never Luffy! You never know when you might get the chance to be an uncle, even if it's not a blood relation I'm sure there are plenty of people you know who'd let you be an uncle to their children. But you can absolutely be my baby's honorary uncle if you'd really like that.

Ahhh yeah, well I guess that's true too! I never thought about it like that! [There's still hope!]

Oh, man I can't believe it! I'm gonna really be an Uncle soon! [He can barely contain his excitement and it's pretty obvious in the sound of his voice.] I'm getting soooo excited now! When is the baby due to come? Is it tomorrow!? It's definitely tomorrow isn't it??

[Shhh so what if he was saying not to rush things before. Now he wants to baby to hurry up and come out.]
