[After spending most of the festive season bundled up in a Malnosso cell, Milly Wolfwood is exceedingly happy to reappear into the light of day again. She's been worried, naturally, about her friends and her husband and the fact that she missed Christmas of all things, but now... now she's back.
And she has a terrible case of the hiccups.
...a terrible case of the hiccups which seems to be teleporting her all over the place. She'll be perfectly fine one moment, then she will hiccup and find herself inexplicably in the middle of someone's dinner table or up a tree or even, heaven forbid, on top of some poor unsuspecting person and squishing them flat because, let's face it, Milly isn't known as big girl for nothing.
Eventually though, she'll find her way back home where she just wants to curl up in her bed and wait for Wolfwood to come home, or at least sit in the kitchen and have a nice cup of cocoa with her friends.]
[Voice]
Could someone tell me what day it is? I think I've been away for a very long time and I've gone and lost track of mysehic!
[There's an audible rustle and snapping of twigs and a little 'oof' of surprise. Milly has just hiccuped herself into a bush.]
Eh-heh... oh dear.

Date: 2012-01-15 12:50 am (UTC)[Amelia might have gotten impatient and turned the burner up really high.
Either way, it doesn't matter now. She turns off the stove, then grabs a glass to get that drink for Milly.]
At least you're okay. We just need to do something about your hiccups.
Re: [action]
Date: 2012-01-16 06:54 am (UTC)[She tips the younger woman a conspiratorial wink.]
I'll teach you the good ol' Thompson family recipe; once you've had it you'll never go back to having cocoa any other way. I wonder if it's too early to put a shot of rum into it...
Re: [action]
Date: 2012-01-22 04:16 am (UTC)[...Congrats, Milly. That even gets Amelia to smile a little.]
I won't tell anyone about the rum if you won't. [She hands over the water.] But maybe you should try and rest first? You've been gone awhile.

Date: 2012-01-23 06:09 am (UTC)Mm, I have been, but that's all the more reason to have a stiff drink, don't you think?
[Puts the empty glass down on an available work surface and goes over to where they keep the liquor. Hello there Captain Morgan, it's been a while.
Her fingers curl around the bottle as she asks:]
Nico's not come home yet, has he?
Re: [action]
Date: 2012-01-23 06:40 am (UTC)[Amelia picks up the glass, half-debating whether she should fill it again just in case, when Milly asks--well, what makes sense for her to ask. The younger girl hesitates, then shakes her head as she moves over to the sink again.]
Not yet. But he probably won't be too far behind you.

Date: 2012-01-26 01:39 pm (UTC)Wolfwood's alright, she knows he is. He has to be. She would know if anything had happened to him, right?
Fixing a smile on her face, she goes over to where Amelia's pan is and looks at it curiously.]
Well your first mistake was not making your cocoa with real milk! My grandma always said you couldn't make decent cocoa if you didn't put real milk in it. Now what about chocolate, do we have any chocolate bars lying around?
