[After spending most of the festive season bundled up in a Malnosso cell, Milly Wolfwood is exceedingly happy to reappear into the light of day again. She's been worried, naturally, about her friends and her husband and the fact that she missed Christmas of all things, but now... now she's back.
And she has a terrible case of the hiccups.
...a terrible case of the hiccups which seems to be teleporting her all over the place. She'll be perfectly fine one moment, then she will hiccup and find herself inexplicably in the middle of someone's dinner table or up a tree or even, heaven forbid, on top of some poor unsuspecting person and squishing them flat because, let's face it, Milly isn't known as big girl for nothing.
Eventually though, she'll find her way back home where she just wants to curl up in her bed and wait for Wolfwood to come home, or at least sit in the kitchen and have a nice cup of cocoa with her friends.]
[Voice]
Could someone tell me what day it is? I think I've been away for a very long time and I've gone and lost track of mysehic!
[There's an audible rustle and snapping of twigs and a little 'oof' of surprise. Milly has just hiccuped herself into a bush.]
Eh-heh... oh dear.

Date: 2012-01-12 02:44 am (UTC)Milly! [Amelia heads over to the woman, immediately looking her over.] Are you okay? Are you hurt?
Re: [action]
Date: 2012-01-12 02:50 am (UTC)Oh yes, I'm alright. I'm just a little sleepy, that's-
-hic-
[And suddenly Milly is on the other side of the kitchen.]
I think I could do with a glass of water...
Re: [action]
Date: 2012-01-12 12:01 pm (UTC)[Everything is all well and good until there's suddenly this empty space where there should be a Milly. Amelia just kind of...stares for a second, until Milly speaks up from behind her.
That's weird.]
I think you're more than a little sleepy. [Her eyes still wide with shock, Amelia once again goes over to the other woman.] What's going on?
Re: [action]
Date: 2012-01-12 04:47 pm (UTC)[It seems that even the doggedly upbeat Milly can have her patience stretched a little too thin by strange circumstances like abduction and teleporting hiccups]
All I know is that I've had awful hiccups ever since they let me go and every time I hiccup I wind up in a completely different place. It's exhausting! I have to start all over again trying to get to where I want to go to and even if I tie myself down to something it doesn't work.
Re: [action]
Date: 2012-01-12 11:39 pm (UTC)[Which is about all Amelia can say, as Milly just...goes. And goes. And wow, who knew she could actually get mad? Certainly not Amelia, even if it's perfectly understandable.
Too bad Amelia doesn't exactly do hugs or anything.]
Uh. I can get you that glass of water you wanted? Or cocoa. I was making--
[A pot of empty air, hot on the stove. Amelia looks at it, then back to Milly.]
--maybe just the water.
Re: [action]
Date: 2012-01-13 04:22 am (UTC)Well goodness, where on earth could your cocoa have gone?
Re: [action]
Date: 2012-01-15 12:50 am (UTC)[Amelia might have gotten impatient and turned the burner up really high.
Either way, it doesn't matter now. She turns off the stove, then grabs a glass to get that drink for Milly.]
At least you're okay. We just need to do something about your hiccups.
Re: [action]
Date: 2012-01-16 06:54 am (UTC)[She tips the younger woman a conspiratorial wink.]
I'll teach you the good ol' Thompson family recipe; once you've had it you'll never go back to having cocoa any other way. I wonder if it's too early to put a shot of rum into it...
