[There's the sound of some background noise; birds tweeting, shrubbery being trodden underfoot, but above all that there's the sound of someone- a woman- humming cheerfully.]
Oh my goodness, I don’t think I’ve ever seen this many plants before except in picture books! And isn’t it a lovely day? I’ve never had a dream before where I got to be in a forest, but if it means that I get to see lovely trees and animals like this then I don’t think I mind it at all!
[Some more happy humming can be heard, and footsteps through the undergrowth.]
My back’s all itchy. That’s funny, I don’t usually get an itchy back when I dream. Oh no, I’m not allergic to trees am I? That would be just awful! Magic Book, could you tell me if I’m allergic to trees?
[…]
Silly old Milly, of course the book isn’t going to tell you that, books can’t talk!
…I wonder if there’s a pudding tree? All my very best dreams have pudding somewhere, so it really doesn’t make a lot of sense if there isn’t a pudding tree…
[More humming, someone sure sounds cheerful. Then she stops.]
…I think I’m lost.

The book isn't quite normal. It's more like a telephone. I'm actually talking to you from another book.

...I don't know where I thought of that but it's pretty interesting! Maybe I didn't spend enough time in the shade today...

But You didn't think of it. Like I said, this isn't a dream. I know it might seem like one, but it really isn't.

[...oh boy.]
But this isn't a dream, I promise. This is real. It doesn't seem real, because you've been kidnapped and taken to a different world.
...That doesn't help my case any, does it?
Re: [voice]
Date: 2011-03-05 02:25 am (UTC)Ooh, I didn't think that this dream could be happening on Gunsmoke because I've been all over and I've never even seen a place like this before.
Re: [voice]
Date: 2011-03-05 02:35 am (UTC)Right.
Well, be careful. It can be dangerous around here, sometimes.

Date: 2011-03-05 05:28 am (UTC)Is it? Well, at least you'll be prepared for this place. The ones who brought you here like to do...unique things.
Re: [voice]
Date: 2011-03-05 06:09 am (UTC)What sort of unique things?
Re: [voice]
Date: 2011-03-05 06:54 am (UTC)Well, they can change the way you look by turning you into a different person, or an object.
