[There's the sound of some background noise; birds tweeting, shrubbery being trodden underfoot, but above all that there's the sound of someone- a woman- humming cheerfully.]
Oh my goodness, I don’t think I’ve ever seen this many plants before except in picture books! And isn’t it a lovely day? I’ve never had a dream before where I got to be in a forest, but if it means that I get to see lovely trees and animals like this then I don’t think I mind it at all!
[Some more happy humming can be heard, and footsteps through the undergrowth.]
My back’s all itchy. That’s funny, I don’t usually get an itchy back when I dream. Oh no, I’m not allergic to trees am I? That would be just awful! Magic Book, could you tell me if I’m allergic to trees?
[…]
Silly old Milly, of course the book isn’t going to tell you that, books can’t talk!
…I wonder if there’s a pudding tree? All my very best dreams have pudding somewhere, so it really doesn’t make a lot of sense if there isn’t a pudding tree…
[More humming, someone sure sounds cheerful. Then she stops.]
…I think I’m lost.

Re: [Action]
[She smiles back, and then puts her hand on top of his.]
[...his hand is warm.]
It is a little cold...
Re: [Action]
[Remember, I can walk a fuckload of isles.]
Re: [Action]
[The jacket's nice and warm, and it smells like him too. She tugs it a little tighter around her shoulders, then she peers curiously at his wings.]
Yours are black.
Re: [Action]
Yeah, seems like they knew it was my color. Better than bright purple or orange, right?
Re: [Action]
[Milly chews on her bottom lip thoughtfully for a second, as though she is pondering one of life's very great mysteries.]
[This is so strange. She's standing in the middle of a forest, slowing beginning to lose the feeling in her toes actually, and she's talking to her dead... dead what?]
[And is he her anything for that matter? After all, one night doesn't really amount to anything... does it>?]
[Oh dear she's still looking at him funny, isn't she?]
[Better say something...]
But I think that the black ones are very nice.
[And without really thinking much about it, she reaches out to brush one of his wings with her fingertips.]
Re: [Action]
It's a troublesome little uncomfortableness he feels, until Milly's touch makes his wing twitch faintly under finger.]
Yours seem to match you perfectly; leave it to the Malnosso jerks to actually get something right, for a change.
[He starts leading her back toward the village, more content with smiling a little more.]
Re: [Action]
[She follows along beside him, nice and warm inside his jacket, and looks at him curiously- although really before he mentioned the unfamiliar name she was looking at his wings. They're really nice.]
Who are they?
Re: [Action]
[aka they're jerks, obviously]
They're... what you'd consider an enemy.
Re: [Action]
[Although, seeing as he's so clearly anti these people, she's going to keep the thought that they can't be all bad if they bring dead people back to life to herself.]
[Obviously there's more to this than the apparent facts.]
Do we have something they want?
Re: [Action]
Stealing a bunch of people from different worlds... Doesn't seem much in the way of helping them, you'd think.
Re: [Action]
[Hmm, this is a pickle that we are in, isn't it? She pouts a little.]
Unless they moved us here because all our old worlds were getting too crowded to look after us all?
Re: [Action]
Re: [Action]
[This... is really very surreal, all of this. Walking through a lush green forest with cold air and the jacket of a dead man wrapped around her shoulders.]
[What on earth does she even begin to talk to him about?]
Re: [Action]
But this? This is a little more difficult.
First things first: get all the negative shit out of the way.]
I, ah, should probably bring up... that Vash and Meryl aren't the only ones from our world here.
Re: [Action]
They aren't? Who else is here?
Re: [Action]
Legato, and Vash's brother, Knives.
Re: [Action]
Oh.
[The look on her face right now could be best described as 'kicked puppy']
Re: [Action]
They're missing right now, but your journal'll get to be locked so they don't notice you've shown up yet; they haven't done much, but we have to keep our guard up, alright?
Re: [Action]
[Gosh that still feels absolutely horrible and wrong to say.]
I mean... I thought Mr. Vash stopped him. And he was looking for his brother too...
This place doesn't make an awful lot of sense, does it?
Re: [Action]
No, it really doesn't.
[And then he focuses on the cool road ahead.]
We're almost there; just a little further.
Re: [Action]
[And then her feet stop moving for a moment, and she just stands stock still in the road.]
This really isn't a dream, is it? I'm not going to wake up and find out this is all pretend, am I?
Re: [Action]
Should I pinch you again?
Re: [Action]
No, I'm alright. I just didn't-
[And she smiles.]
I'm just happy to see you, I didn't think I was ever going to see you again.
Re: [Action]
... I didn't think I'd see you again, either.
But this place has it's bright sides, right?
[Quietly, he extends a hand to her. Shall we walk, big girl?]
Re: [Action]
[She nods and takes a step towards him to take his hand without another thought about it.]
