[Earlier today, Milly's been waddling around Luceti to get some exercise. She looks about 27 weeks pregnant now and is sporting a noticeable bump. With about one month left to go, she's decided to do some shopping for baby clothes and some more things for her; with how quickly everything's going it seems like her clothing doesn't last longer than five minutes before she has to go and get something bigger. There's still big things like a cradle and a changing table to get ready before the baby arrives, but that's not something she's doing today. Today is about teeny tiny little pairs of socks in a myriad of pastel colours and little onesies with snap fasteners.
Later, when she's all shopped out and weighed down with baby clothes, she'll be taking a quick breather on a bench with an enormous bag of warm sausage rolls from the bakery, which she will be proceeding to eat as a power-snack before returning to Trigun House, where she makes a journal entry.]

You know what I would really, really like right now? A really big, giant baked potato with lots of butter and covered in melty cheese with bacon bits. And even though something like that is always best served with two cups of pudding afterwards, I just can't bring myself to eat it right now, the smell makes me feel dreadfully sick to my stomach, and it's the saddest thing in the world because I have all these pudding cups getting closer and closer to their expiration date and nobody in the house eats pudding the way I do, so they're going to all go to waste. It's a terrible shame.
Oh, that's a good idea! I will give all those pudding cups away to a good home if anybody wants them. You just have to promise me that you'll eat them responsibly and not waste a single bite. There's nothing worse than wasting pudding.
[Is that a wobble in her voice? Yes it is. Giving away all that lovely pudding that she desperately wants to eat but can't without feeling sick is just about one of the saddest things she's ever had to do. She's quietly terrified that this temporary pudding issue might wind up being permanent.]
I think I might just have a few donuts. And maybe put some bitter caramel sauce on my potato. Does anybody know how to make bitter caramel sauce? And it's not dangerous to eat donuts with hot sauce, is it?

The grade of the sausage used is probably the key to making a good sausage roll. However, I'm sure your mother's take on the recipe wasn't so bad. After all, every child will always favor their mother's cooking.
[ He chuckled softly. ]
I wonder if your child will be the same. If you don't mind me asking, how far along are you?
[action]
[At his inquiry about the baby, her eyes soften and she looks down at her tummy, smiling contentedly at Hohenheim when she looks back up.]
I don't mind you asking at all. It's all a bit complicated here in Luceti and things go differently, but Doctor Law says I'm just starting the last trimester about now. The baby's due in May. Do you have any children, sir?
[action]
[ He blinked his eyes a tad owlishly when he pronounced the name of that dish. ]
I don't believe I ever heard of that kind of cuisine before, at least not to my recollection.
[ Idly pondering how Trisha's wonderful cooking would compare to Genny's, Hohenheim was jolted out of his thoughts once the young mother asked him if he had any children of his own. For a moment, Hohenheim wasn't sure how to reply. The relationship he has with his sons is very strained, but they are his boys.
So instead of dwelling on the fact he's still trying to win his sons' trust, a cheerful smile settled on the old alchemist's face as he spoke of them. ]
Indeed, I do. I have two boys, Edward and Alphonse. The Edward is the oldest of the two and perhaps the most like me.

[Milly rubs little circles on her tummy where she can feel the baby moving. These last few days she's really been able to feel a difference in how active her child's becoming as he or she gets bigger and stronger as they approach the due date.]
Gosh I can't believe you've really never had a souflee, they're delicious! They're light and fluffy and they take a lot of time and effort and practice to get right, but nothing can really beat a good one. Cheese souflees are just wonderful, you really ought to try one.
[action] damn, caught that typo so late
[ While both his sons seem to take after him, Alphonse seems to take more after Trisha than him. Maybe it's the fact that Alphonse always been rather close to his mother ever since birth. ]
Cheese souflees? They come in different flavors?
[action] lol, no worries!
[She laughs cheerfully.]
That's very sweet of you to call me cheeful; I suppose I'm just a very lucky woman and have a lot to be cheerful about so it's not very difficult to be in good spirits these days.
My name's Milly by the way, Milly Wolfwood.
[action]
[ Her cheerful smile is certainly infectious since he can't help but mirror her cheerfulness with a smile of his own. She certainly reminds him of Trisha when she was pregnant with Edward. ]
A pleasure to make your acquaintance, Ms. Wolfwood. I'm Van Hohenheim.
